Challenge Thursdays

By

I challenged myself today, by painting one of my nature pics…

This little photogenic guy loves the camera!

Leaf-footed bugs rarely get noticed due to their effective camouflage. Their grayish-brown color makes them look like tree bark or a leaf, but they are so named for their leaf-like legs (or foot). They are often found in warm tropical climates on tall stem plants and fruit trees.

Gentle fascinating creatures, but a complete pest in the garden as they love munching on fruits.

Pushing The Comfort Zone

“I cannot improve my painting skills, if I don’t paint at all.”

That is my mantra!

Learning something new can be challenging, overwhelming, and even discouraging…especially, if you don’t feel like you’re getting any better at it.

Practice does make perfect, even if you suck at it for a very long time. Quitting….well, quitting gets you nowhere.

It’s good to challenge ourselves. If we don’t push past our comfort zone, every now and then, we might miss an opportunity to further our journey. 🙂
